7.31.2023 — Motivation Mondays: Weekly Inspiration for Impactful Leadership

This week on Motivation Mondays: antitrust and Sustainability — a landscape analysis from Columbia University; moving towards (better) leadership — resources for leading w/ compassion, wellbeing & belonging from the Center for Creative Leadership; the Black Progress Index from Brookings & the NAACP; a case for the Racial Equity Index for the UN’s SDGs; and finally, three key principles for equitable education systems from the Population Council’s programming at Women Deliver in Kigali.

First, beginning in January 2023, my dear friend Denise Hearn, and her colleagues at the Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment and the Sabin Center for Climate Change Law have been unpacking how the private sector and financial actors have both power and responsibility to ensure that their economic activity is positively aligned with global sustainability goals.

This landscape analysis begins unpacking the incredibly complex forms of possibilities and collaborations that are legally and practically possible to move us forward.
